Prof. SM Shashidhar, Head
of the dept of Electronics & Communication Engg of Proudhadevaraya
Institute of Technology, Hospet. Prof. Shashidhar is serving in Veerasaiva
Vidyavardhaka Sangha’s Engineering Colleges for the past 25 years. He is
heading E&C Dept of PDIT since Sept 2007.
He served as the Member of
the Karnataka state Managing Committee of Indian Society for Technical
Education (ISTE) during 1996-98 and 2009-2011. He was the Executive Committee Member
of the Communications Society (COMSOC) of Institution of Electrical &
Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Bangalore Chapter during 2008-10. He is also a Fellow
Member of The Institution of Engineers (India). He has authored a book on
‘Saving Electricity’ published by Visvesvaraya
Technological University ,
Belgaum
He has attended various
conferences of state and national level and presented technical research papers.
Currently, he is pursuing his research in the field of ‘Power Systems
Protection by VLSI approaches.’
