About the
Department :
The Electronics and Communication
Engineering is a highly sought after branch of Engineering today by both
parents and students. This age is rightly called the Electronic Era as every
facet of our life is facilitated and controlled by Electronics in one form or
other. The Electronics branch was started in the year 1997.
The students and staff are striving hard
for academic excellence and overall results of our department is the best in
the university. The students are taking active part in the technical paper
presentation contests conducted by different Institutions and have obtained
top places and prizes. Department is planning to set up a development center
and create a center of excellence.

Future scope for Electronics and Communication Engineering
The Electronics and
Communication Engineering, being an inter-disciplinary branch of engineering, is
heading towards development of new & intelligent sensors, smart transducers,
MEMS Technology, Blue tooth Technology. The automation systems in the production
are rapidly being enhanced and the demand for highly skilled instrumentation
engineers is on the rise. In the instrumentation systems manufacturing sector,
the demand for well trained process control engineering graduates is always
present. This BE (IT) course provides Instrumentation students with sound
theoretical & practical training in the operation and design of electronic
instruments, digital logic systems, and computer based automatic process control
& instrumentation, & automatic control system design, etc. To meet the
industrial requirements of future, students are also made to become well versed
with personal computer applications in Instrumentation, Process Control Systems
Design, PLCs, DSP Architecture & Design, Microprocessors and Microcontroller
