Abstract
The
vision and mission of higher education in India require to focus on creating
flexible teaching learning environments with technology mediated learning
materials for transforming India into a knowledge society with inclusive
growth. After the initial impact and application of computers in education the
introduction of E-learning and M-learning epitomized the constant
transformations that were occurring in education. Learning is a lifelong
process that involves constant change, adjustment and developments. U-learning
is the extend and advance form of
E-learning and also can be viewed as a combination of the advantages of
E-learning and M-learning with the benefits of Ubiquitous computing and the
flexibility of mobile devices. Various devices plug in and retrieve the
information in the appropriate format. It fulfills e-learning’s promise of “anywhere, anytime and any context.”
Information literacy skills are crucial for students to succeed in their
careers and communities of the information age. This paper highlights next
generation learning in transformation of Digital era.
